An NFT is a non-fungible token. Unless you have a PhD in economics, fungible and fungibility are not words you use frequently. A good place to start is the Wikipedia definition. The analogy we like is the Mona Lisa. There is one and only one Mona Lisa (a limited supply). There have been many copies (forgeries!) but they are mere copies. Paris’s Musée du Louvre is the proud owner of the original and has its verifiable provenance. NFTs are the digital equivalent. There is a limited supply of N( . )( . )DZ. When you mint N( . )( . )DZ, the blockchain records your undisputable provenance for an original work of digital art. Others can make copies of your image, but they are mere copies.
